ADAMITE and SPESSARTINE GARNET CLUSTER

ADAMITE

A superb example of this very rare zinc arsenate mineral with a hardness of 3.5. It's structure is orthorhombic and often occurs in fan shaped rosettes. This particular piece is Namibian. Adamite is named after the famed French mineralogist G. Adams.

Mostly found in very small pieces this particular clump is a wonderful size. Not only is there a vast covering on the front of this ore matrix but there are vivid apple green new growths emerging on the reverse. The matrix is fragile and will deposit dust when handled. Helps strengthen the emotionally battered and instils prosperous business practices. Helps conditions of the heart and lungs and eases throat problems.

SPESSARTINE GARNET CLUSTER<

This species of garnet is a manganese aluminium silicate with a hardness of 7. This lovely cluster of emerging and fully developed garnets gives a glittering display. There are clear growth seams at the back end of the piece, the matrix has one or two minor base splits where it has expanded in heat, which is normal, but they do not detract and could be filled in easily with a soil paste if they failed to please. (I prefer to leave it as nature intended).

Spessartines balance sexual energy and help all sexual and reproductive function. Can help with weight loss and gives a tonic effect to the blood and endocrine system.
